Privacy
The short version: your documents stay on your Mac. The apps check their licence, diagnostic reports are sent only if you switch them on, usage statistics are optional, and this site does not track you.
VexOffice is still in development. This page describes how the released apps will work and will be brought up to date before the release.
Your documents
Vex Sheets and Vex Writer work with files on your Mac. Documents are not uploaded anywhere, and there is no VexOffice account to create.
Unsaved changes are kept aside by macOS in its usual place for such copies, on your disk.
Licence
VexOffice will be sold on the Mac App Store as a one-time purchase. The apps check that the purchase is valid. The purchase itself, and the Apple Account behind it, are handled by Apple under its own privacy policy.
Diagnostic reports
When something fails, the app writes a report to a log on your Mac: the version of the app and of macOS, what the app was doing and where it stopped. Nothing of it is sent anywhere unless you switch on the sending of diagnostic reports in the settings of the app. The switch is off by default. If you turn it on, you can turn it off again at any time.
A report describes the app, not your work. It does not include the contents of your documents.
Usage statistics
The apps can also collect statistics on how they are used. This is optional: you can switch it off completely in the settings of the app at any time, and then nothing of the kind is collected.
This website
The site consists of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from other companies.
Like any web server, the one that hosts these pages may keep ordinary access logs.
